Diploma-Qualified Educator – Part-Time Opportunity (OSHC)
Location: Terrey Hills, NSW
Hours: Part-time, 5 hours per day, 3 days a week (Tuesday to Thursday)
Prospero Teaching is working with a not-for-profit school association in Terrey Hills, NSW, that provides high-quality, progressive education. We are seeking a mature and passionate Diploma-Qualified Educator (or someone currently working towards their Diploma) to support the integration of 4- and 5-year-old students into an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program.
This school and its OSHC service are both rated Exceeding the National Quality Standards and offer an inclusive, child-led learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team that values progressive education and innovation in learning.
Essential Criteria:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education, School Age Education and Care, or an equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification (or currently working towards)
- Current approved first aid qualification HLTAID012
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Child Protection qualification CHCPRT025 (ACECQA approved)
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to undertake the role of Responsible Person
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of the My Time, Our Place framework
- Professionalism, ethical behavior, and commitment to collaboration and confidentiality
- Ability to plan and implement high-quality, inclusive, and innovative programs in an OSHC setting
- Understanding of progressive education or a willingness to learn
- Ability to build strong relationships with students aged 4-13, their families, and colleagues
