Program Manager – Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
Location: Nicholls, ACT
Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 + $13,000 bonus program over 2 years
Are you an experienced leader passionate about creating exceptional programs for children? We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee a high-quality Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service at a unique joint facility supporting two schools in Nicholls, ACT.
About the Role
As the Program Manager, you will lead a large, dedicated team to deliver a program that meets the needs of the school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to create a positive impact in a community that is ready for change and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse team, including Directors of Service, Second in Charge, Wellbeing and Inclusion officers, and educators.
- Design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and safe programs for children in Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, school staff, and the broader community.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, delivering on the promise of exceptional care and experiences for children.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, fostering a positive, professional, and welcoming environment.
About the Service
This service operates across two dedicated spaces and a setup/packdown hall in a supportive and vibrant community. Amenities include:
- Onsite parking.
- A designated OSHC office for the leadership team to work during school hours.
- Local shops, parks, and community spaces nearby.
The service supports 60 children in Before School Care, 150+ in After School Care, and 60 during Vacation Care. A strong staffing structure ensures high levels of support for both educators and families.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of leadership experience in OSHC, early childhood, teaching, or similar sectors.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A positive mindset and a passion for fostering child development.
- Experience managing teams with varying levels of expertise.
- A commitment to delivering on promises and building trust within the community.
