About the Centre

Prospero Teaching are working alongside a beautiful 55-place community-based centre located in the heart of Kensington. The centre caters for children aged 0-6 and is passionate about child-centred learning, allowing children to follow their own lead. It has two locations in walking distance from one another, and values staff retention, providing strong development support for all members of the team. The centre is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment, with both staff and children from a variety of backgrounds.

About the role

We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join a small team of educators in their Baby Room.

• Develop and implement age-appropriate care and education programs for infants and toddlers aged 0-2 years
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to play, learn and grow
• Build positive relationships with children and families, and provide regular feedback on their progress
• Work cohesively alongside a strong and passionate team of educators (No Room Leader)

Skills and experience

• Currently residing in Australia and hold a valid VISA
• Diploma/Cert 3 in ECE (or an ACECQA approved equivalent)
• Knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality standards
• Proven ability to work with infants in an Early Childhood Setting
• First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current child protection training
